A Swansea based IT company has been caught by computer software giant Microsoft for selling computers with there software installed but not with a legitimate license.

The comment "They have never liked us, I think its the name" Yes I think Bill Gates has had some sleepless nights there.

The practice known as "hard drive loading" has been going on for years in the hardware and software selling game.   This practice has been taking the business away from law abiding business like Bransby IT who can find it hard to compete with company’s willing to give the customer "a copy of" the software normally Microsoft Windows  or Microsoft Office.
 
All computers and laptops running Windows will have there own holographic authentication sticker attached to its outer body somewhere.
 
We have been told by far to many customers that when they bought there computer from there local IT company they were advised that the copy of Windows XP they have is running under there own IT company license.   There is no site license for IT company’s selling computers and if you have been sold a computer with illegal software then please contact your local trading standards or Microsoft.
 
Yes you are getting the computer cheaper by having a knock of copy of windows but its theft, nothing more or nothing less.
 
Beat the idiots and say no to pirate software.
