Wireless Networks are great for sharing a single broadband connection with several computers.

Used at home for sharing internet connections, file sharing and streaming media such as Films and Music.

There are a couple of draw backs with wireless though.   Wireless signal strength can be lost over distance or through walls, creating black spots through out your home.   This may or not be an issue for you.   Placing the Wireless Router in the optimum location may not always be viable, most people just put the router next to the BT socket and hope for the best.

Wired Networks are always the best options for business’s the offer the best data speeds and are not affected (If installed correctly) by the limitations of wireless networks.  Wired networks are great for offices of 2 or more users.   Some application that the majority of small business users use are not supported by the applications technical support.   Sage a major player in the accounts software market do not support networked version of there software via wireless.
